The El Monte Aquatic Center is an American Red Cross authorized provider. All instructors hold current American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor, Lifeguard Training, C.P.R. and First Aid Certificates .
AMERICAN RED CROSS COURSES

CPR for the Professional Rescuer ($50) |
This CPR course meets the requirements for lifeguards, police officers, and other professional rescuers. Includes adult, child, infant, and additional procedures. |
Community Water Safety ($25) |
Teaches students how to be safe in and around the water, and how to safeguard home swimming pools. This class meets the requirements for foster and adoptive parents with backyard pools. |
Lifeguard Training ($150) |
(Ages 15+, must be able to swim 500 yards continuously and retrieve a 10 pound object from the bottom of the pool)This 28 hour course will teach students various entries, approaches, and rescues for both drowning victims and victims of spinal injuries or sudden illness in the water. CPR for the Professional Rescuer and first aid are also part of this course at no additional fee. |
Adult CPR with First Aid ($35)

This CPR and first aid course offers certification in Standard First Aid and Adult CPR procedures. |
