The fun and adventure in diving begins as soon as you begin your scuba class at the El Monte Aquatic Center. The PADI Open Water Diver Course is the most popular scuba course in the world. The course is divided into three segments: lecture, confined water (pool sessions) and four SCUBA dives with an expert and friendly PADI Instructor. Each segment is designed to ensure that you learn the skills needed to safely enjoy diving to the fullest. Class sizes will be limited to 4 students to allow individual attention you get with a private/semi-private class.
Classes will meet twice a week for three weeks, with lecture the first night and pool sessions the second night. We will then head to the beach for two days of ocean diving, the first at Laguna Beach and the second at Catalina Island. These dives will be scheduled on the first night of class. |

Fee includes: Tuition, classroom materials (including text and logbook), certification card upon completion, scuba gear rental, and cost of one roundtrip ticket to Catalina Island on the Catalina Express. Additionally each student must provide two passport size photos, mask, snorkel, booties, and fins. Students may purchase gear from Trident Scuba at a discount.
